2022 – 01/13 The IRS has issued updates to several FAQs that cover the 2021 Child Tax Credit (CTC). The FAQs are intended to help eligible families properly claim the credit when they prepare and file their 2021 tax returns. Recipients of advance CTC payments will need to compare the amount of payments received during 2021 with the amount of the CTC that can be claimed on their 2021 tax returns. If you received less than the amount you’re eligible for, you can claim a credit for the remaining amount. If you received more than you’re eligible for, you may need to repay some or all of the excess amount. Contact us for more information or visit: https://bit.ly/3HTfJKG
